Books on Charlotte

Charlotte Joan Sternberg's
Ornament Notebook
This is a notebook that Charlotte made when she was a student at the trade school in Meriden, Connecticut. She took classes there after her regular high school was over for the day. The silversmiths of Meriden were thus trained in classic ornament and design. Charlotte used this information again when she took a similar class at Yale.

The Perspective Notebook
from the notes of Charlotte Joan Sternberg
This book is a reproduction of notes that Charlotte made for her perspective classes at Paier College of Art. Students reproduced these drawings and made their own book, while Charlotte drew them on the blackboard and explained them. A complete perspective course from the simplest to the most complex concepts, for all art students.
